Marketing Online Secret: Brett McFall’s 7 Steps to a Profitable Online Business

1) First and foremost, find a hot niche market
Make use of free and available resources on the internet, like freekeywords.wordtracker.com, goodkeywords.com
Test your keywords to see how many searches were done on it per day. The number of searches done on that keyword is an indication of the popularity of that topic on the internet.

2) Create a product which gives your market what they want
Start off with an information product like an ebook, audio program or online video. Ask the audience what they want. Simply answer the needs that your research revealed and make your product unique. Overdeliver and surprise your customers so that they will come back again and again.

3) Create a powerful, compelling sales message
This is without doubt, THE most important part of your website. You will need a great sales letter to compel visitors to buy. Overall, you need to talk in BENEFITS … what’s in it for the customer. You can search for copywriting software (it shouldn’t cost you more than a hundred bucks) or save the money and learn how to do it yourself.

4) Design a simple website that converts prospects into buyers
Which is the Number One website in the world? Think Google. Follow Google’s lead and keep it simple, that is, plain black text on a white background! Leave out the fancy bells and whistles that distracts your visitors. Keep photos small so that it is fast to load the page. And most importantly, give visitors an opportunity to opt-in to your database so that you can communicate with them later.

5) Bring traffic to your site using the internet’s best search engines
Over 90% of internet users start with free search engines when they’re looking for information online.
There are 2 basic ways to use search engines to bring traffic
1.Pay-per-click (best for starters)
Google Adwords or Yahoo Search Marketing
2.Organic (takes more skill, but still possible)

Powerful techniques to drive a ton of traffic to your sites:
~~Articles
~~Press Releases
~~Adding your comments to online forums (of course, remember to mention your link)

6) Use email to turn even more people into customers
82% of online buyers have made at least one purchase in response to an email promotion. Buying is all about trust – so you should use email to build this trust account up. In your email campaign, educate people to your value and your product’s value. Increase your profits by selling new products to existing customers. Statistics show that 1/3rd of your customers will buy from you again if you just ask them. Best part is, there are no marketing costs involved on the 2nd purchase, so more profit. You can also sell other people’s products that relate to what you’re selling and profit from there. To find other people’s products to sell, try Clickbank.

7) Have an army of people sell your product for you

Once you have a website that is working… the smart thing to do is to grow it before you move on to another project. Launch your own Affiliate Program. Affiliates are people who will promote your website on the internet and take a commission on the sales they produce. Hence, they are paid only when a sale is made. This means that there are no up-front costs involved.
