How to be Indexed by Yahoo Quickly

Nowadays, getting indexed by the major search engines usually take weeks, if not months of waiting. I’ll like to share with you this little known secret of getting Yahoo to index your new website very quickly, which I discovered accidentally.

A few months ago, I bought my domain name from Yahoo for $1.99, since that is the cheapest deal in town. After registering the domain name, I set up a free starter page with Yahoo and forgot about it. To my pleasant surprise, when I check for my domain name days later, it was already indexed by Yahoo, even though it contains only a few short paragraphs. Now that’s a fantastic perk that I wasn’t expecting for just $1.99! It does make good business sense for Yahoo to treat its customer well.

On hindsight, I don’t recommend putting up the starter page with Yahoo as somehow Google has difficulty indexing it. My website was indexed by Google about 6 weeks later. What I recommend is to get the domain name from Yahoo and either take up Yahoo’s web-hosting package or redirect it to your existing web-host or your free blog. This is very easily done through the control panel which you will have full access to. However, if you wish to transfer the domain name to another web-host, it can only be done after the first 60 days.

The $1.99 domain offer is only for the 1st year and subsequent year is at $9.99. The cancellation policy is very transparent and there is no binding contract to stay with them for more than one year if you don’t wish to. To me, Yahoo is the best place to register my first domain name. They have exclusive promotion from time to time for their customers, such as $50 credit for Yahoo sponsored search, free download of their site builder, etc.

If you don’t need a domain name yet, there are other methods to get your site indexed quickly. Mainly it involves getting back-links from sites with high PR. Will talk more about that in the next post.

Is Ewen Chia’s Autopilot Profits System a huge scam? Can you really earn US$549,784.82 while you sleep?

To find out, I got my hands on Ewen Chia’s another hot-selling product, Autopilot Profits System. The package consists of 1 complete set of Camtasia video tutorials, one 59 pages PDF e-book, and a set of keyword lists. I read through them in one sitting, and here’s my review of the Autopilot Profits System.

What is Autopilot Profits about?
If you like Ewen’s Secret Affiliate Weapons (another great product of his), you will love Autopilot Profits System even more!

Secret Affiliate Weapons is great for newbies as it gives us the macro, whole picture view of affiliate marketing which we need as a start. While it is no doubt value-for-money, the tons of information given might be a bit overwhelming though.

The phrase “the more, the merrier” does not apply to internet marketing information. All internet marketers faced this problem of information overload. We get overloaded with too much information and choices that we simply do not know where to go and how to proceed. Autopilot Profits solves this problem exactly.

If you have met Ewen in person, you would have heard of his motto, “internet marketing is very simple”. Indeed, the Autopilot Profits system is presented very clearly. It is easy for a newbie to understand and follow the entire affiliate marketing processes (the sales page said even a monkey can do it!). If you are confused and overloaded with information, you will love this package. What I like best…
I love the professional Camtasia video tutorials that demonstrate the steps unambiguously. My advice is start with the videos first, and use the e-book for future reference. The videos showed me which websites to go to and what to click so that I can learn all the strategies in one day.

If you have done keyword/niche research before, you will realise how tedious it can be. Most of the ebooks that I have read require me to go through very complicated, long-winded steps, generate lots of reports, and at the end of the day, I am still not sure which keywords I should use. In this book, Ewen used a simple, yet powerful 2-step method, one to check for demand, the other to check for competition, and the rules-of-thumb for selection. Within minutes, I got my answers which keywords I should go for. Saves me lots of precious time.

What I like least…
My only gripe with Autopilot Profits System is that a few of the resources recommended for automation are not free. Those are nevertheless affordable resources to invest in, if you are serious in your affiliate marketing business.

In a nut shell: If you are the type who likes to spend a week to read through 300 pages of manual, this is not for you. If you like concise, to-the-point affiliate marketing techniques that actually works, this is the ONE to get.

Seriously, by getting this eBook, you will not earn US$549,784.82 overnight (probably only a monkey would believe that!). The salesletter is exaggerating but I wouldn’t call it a scam, because that is the level of income Ewen Chia himself is earning. What he did not tell you is that he spent several years working online every night, while holding a full time job, before he achieve this level of success.

At $27, this is one of the most affordable affiliate marketing course to learn from a successful super affiliate and jump start your online money-making business. Personally I have learnt a lot from it.
