How to Make Your First Dollar Online

If you have not made your first dollar online, here’s a post that you must read.

When I first started online, I was given the impression that there is NO way you can earn your first dollar online without spending quite a bit. Many internet marketing gurus would tell you the same too. That’s not true. There are, in fact, a few ways that you can make some pocket money online without spending a dime. Here’s how…

1) Start a free blog

The simplest way is to open an free blog account with blogger and start posting interesting, original articles. After the first 2 post, you can apply for your Adsense account which again is free. Post a few adsense ads in your blog, so when your reader clicks on any of these ads, you get paid a small commission.

Each click can range from a miserable $0.02 to several tens of dollars. It is hard to predict how much you are going to get per click, but you can try to aim for the higher paying ones by doing your keyword research on Google keyword tool. That should give you some indication. If you get your keywords right, you should be able to get your first few dollars pretty quickly.

2) Set up a Free Store

I found an interesting website that allows you to set up an online store easily and for free. All you need to do is to select a name for your store, your store design, stock it up with merchandise and you are in business! There is a wide range of merchandise to choose from, ranging from household products, magazines, clothes, cosmetics, etc etc. Here’s a sample website - a puppy grooming store.

Next thing to do is to ask your family and friends to visit your store. When visitors make a purchase at your online store, you get paid a commission that range up to 20% per sale. Certainly a fun way to earn some pocket money!

3) Sell Stuff on Ebay

Christmas is coming. Do you throw out those clothes that you have outgrown? What do you do with the baby stroller that you no longer need? How about last year’s gift that you have no use for? Don’t throw them away! Somebody else may want to pay good money for your stuff.

You can make good money by selling off these stuff on eBay and clear some clutter. eBay charges a small fee for each listing, hence this method is not free. However, if you do it right, this is the fastest way to earn your first profit online.
